Arran Machrie Moor Peated is a whisky recognizable from afar thanks to the peculiar and unique packaging, as well as presenting a whisky high-level and with different characteristics from the rest of the Arran range. Arran Machrie Moor Peated is indeed a whisky peated to an average of about 20 Parts of Peat Per Million, an already significant number for a distillery that tends not to have whisky peated. The name Arran Machrie Moor Peated comes from the natural peat bog that rises on the Isle of Arran from which the distillery supplies sparingly, guarding it with attention and reverence. The Arran distillery was founded in 1992 and in just a few years it has reached an important level of quality, guaranteeing a plethora of enthusiasts in every corner of the globe.
