Whisky Elijah Craig Small Batch
BOTTLE NOT CARTONED 700ml
Elijah Craig is a very prestigious American distillery, whose name derives from the Reverend Elijah Craig, or the one who should have invented the American bourbon as we know it today. In fact, bourbon to be defined as such must age in virgin oak barrels, a practice that dates back to our reverend Elijah Craig, the godfather of the stars and stripes Bourbon. The distillery is located in Kentucky and produces a small number of references dedicated to the world market, today it belongs to the Heaven Hill group, one of the leading distillation giants in the United States.
For some years Elijah Craig has expanded the range of its references with this Small Batch without age declaration: the Small Batch wording derives from the small batch of barrels used to obtain this product, or about 200 for each single batch. It is a small number that makes each production lot unique, with the added feature of the high roasting of the barrels. The softness and personality make it very interesting even in the mixing phase. Elijah Craig certainly needs no introduction, having reached the rank of stars and stripes distillery that he doesn't fear comparisons even with rather bulky neighbors.
The distillery fearlessly carries on, creating products that identify a traditional way of distilling, with the vast, borderless landscape of Kentucky as a backdrop to the department stores. The selection of some barrels is the final gem: only the best ends up in each bottle of Elijah Craig Small Batch.
