Whisky Flóki Young Malt Sheep Dung Smoked Reserve
BOTTLE NOT CARTONED 500ml
Dried sheep dung has been used for centuries as a source of heat in Iceland, just like peat in Scotland. At Eimverk they have decided to use dried sheep dung to smoke the malt just as they do in Scotland with peat. As with the Floki Young Malt, this product cannot be presented as a whisky. It is a Young Malt, which Eimverk uses to age its new oak barrels, which will then contain the actual whisky Icelandic.
TASTE: Medium body and creamy mouthfeel, strangely sweet smoke mixed with hints of pepper, herb and mint. Short finish with sweetness of the wood, balanced.
AGING: New oak barrels.
