James Eadie Auchroisk 12 Year Old is a splendid selection by James Eadie – independent bottler – with a single first fill ex bourbon cask from the Auchroisk distillery, small and unknown but with a big heart and great quality. Cask number 811630 was filled on July 13, 2009 and refined the whisky for 12 years: James Eadie has chosen to maintain the alcohol content without adding water, allowing the connoisseur to appreciate the intensity of the whisky full degree. Only 292 bottles are produced, making this limited edition a small and rare treasure.

Auchroisk is a distillery in the Speyside area founded in 1972 with a peculiar architecture because it is more functional than aesthetically pleasing: the founding company needed to supply whisky for its own blends but, given the excellent quality of the whisky product, thought began to be made of bottling Auchroisk as a single malt. Today the distillery is part of the Diageo galaxy, the group that owns about thirty distilleries in Scotland.
