Kavalan Selection Sherry Cask
Short description
700ml CARTON BOTTLE - Kavalan Selection Sherry Cask represents the selection of the best ex Sherry barrels of the Taiwan distillery, each individually bottled to ensure maximum authenticity.Whisky Kavalan Selection Sherry Cask
700ml BOTTLE
Kavalan is by far the distillery that is collecting the largest number of international awards and, despite the predictions, produces whisky in a country known for anything but Taiwan. Distilling in Taiwan may seem crazy, yet who has decided to start producing whisky in this remote state he immediately imagined the ideal conditions for the success of this company, as it then occurred and is continuing to occur year after year. The substantial difference from the whisky scottish is the latitude: being in the tropical belt (like most of the States that produce Rum) the percentage of annual evaporation (the famous "angel's share") is high, forcing the company to keep the whisky in cask, under penalty of complete evaporation of the alcohol and the impossibility of marketing a whisky with less than 40% ABV.
This selection called Selection Sherry Cask represents one of the vertices of Kavalan, or single barrels, in this case coming from sherry companies, with an important alcohol content, for a distillate suitable for the most demanding palates.
TASTE: Intense and unique, red fruit and dark chocolate, bitter cocoa and coffee powder. Dried fruit, cherry and wood notes. Infinite persistence.
AGING: Spanish oak barrels ex Sherry.
