Kilkerran 16 Year Old is the whisky Older than the Kilkerran distillery, a story of rebirth for a whisky which is captivating the lucky few who have managed to taste one of the rare expressions of this company. Kilkerran is a brand of the Glengyle distillery, founded in 1872 by the son of the founder of Springbank and unfortunately closed in 1925. In 2000 the Mitchell family decided to restore prestige to this small company, buying the abandoned structures and starting a process of rebirth that in a few years has met the favor of many aficionados and enthusiasts. Kilkerran is the more naked and uncompromising side of whisky of Campbeltown, also being able to count on the experience of its sister Springbank, one of the most important Scottish distilleries in terms of quality. This Kilkerran 16 Year Old is the oldest bottling and the whisky passes the refinement in ex bourbon barrels, without colorings and without cold filtering.
