700ml BOTTLE
The Macallan is certainly one of the most iconic distilleries in the world, the result of a centuries-old history and whisky that have amazed the palates of enthusiasts from all over the world. With the Triple Cask series, The Macallan tests itself with different refinements from the classic line, obtaining a perfect marriage between three different types of barrels, in this case used to refine the distillate for over 18 years of aging. The Macallan has in fact decided to use American and European oak barrels that previously contained Spanish Sherry and a fair percentage of American oak barrels previously refined with American Bourbon.
This triple marriage combines the unique characteristics of whisky of Macallan, or the traditional refinements in ex Sherry barrels and a touch of innovation given by ex Bourbon barrels, for an intense taste but with a precise search for elegance. The Macallan is one of the best-known distilleries in Scotland, with a centuries-old history behind it and the legal foundation which took place in 1824: the history of this distillery is studded with international successes and with many iconic bottles. The distillery offers enthusiasts a very large number of whisky, often in limited edition and with very long refinements, a prerogative that few other distilleries in the world can afford to have in their portfolio.
Macallan's undisputed class does not fight: history teaches us that bottles containing Macallan aged for many years often become collector's items and can make your head spin with decidedly important prices. Although this eventuality is possible, we hope you have the opportunity to uncork this bottle and savor a whisky of extraordinary workmanship. Using different woods may seem like an easy choice, yet bringing several different tongues together is a master's work of art.
TASTE
Intense and round, with a double soul deriving from the skilful use of barrels. On the one hand, the sweeter, fruity and floral notes, with custard and shortcrust pastry combined with dark notes of red fruit, bitter cocoa and dark chocolate. Always present spices and dried fruit, for an extremely long and complex finish. Unique.
