Whisky Naked grouse

BOTTLE NOT CARTONED 700 ml

The Famous Grouse is a blended brand whisky Scottish born in 1897 and carried on with great pride by William Grant & Sons, a company that manages some distilleries and various other brands. It all originates from Matthew Gloag, a Scottish wine merchant with trading and grocery skills, who bought whisky from some Scottish distilleries to resell it in their own name or to third parties. Grandson Matthew created the first blended blend whisky The Grouse Brand in 1897, later changing the name to The Famous Grouse, with the partridge (Grouse) as the company symbol.

The brand is well known and is among the best-selling in Scotland, so much so that it was a sponsor of the national rugby team from 1990 to 2007, selling 43 million bottles a year. Naked Grouse, already from the label, i.e. from the absence of a label, reflects The Famous Grouse's desire to expand the range of its products with a blend of only whisky of malt from famous distilleries including Highland Park, Glenrothes and Macallan, before a final aging of 6 months in ex Sherry Oloroso casks.

TASTE

Full and soft, on one hand the floral and fruity notes, orange peel and white peach, cereal biscuits and spices. Small berries to support further refinement in ex Sherry, cinnamon and dried fruit.

AGING

First-fill ex Sherry barrels and ex Sherry Oloroso barrels.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS ABOUT WHISKY NAKED GROUSE

Naked Grouse wants to become a new voice within the panorama - now crowded - of the various blended wines: the decision to change the style of the packaging also influences the choices during the production phase, with a selection that wants to be more rigorous to give the public a new and superior quality product. This Naked Grouse is certainly enjoyable alone or with a few drops of water, even if the company gives a nod to mixing, starting from home mixing to get to the top of world bartending, being able to count on a whisky who is not afraid to confront anyone.

The distilleries from which the casks come - Highland Park - Macallan - Glenrothes - certainly need no introduction, being known and renowned for the superfine quality of their whisky: uniting these three voices is the path chosen by naked grouse to emerge and get noticed.
