Nikka is Japanese company of whisky among the most famous in the world. The first whisky Nikka is made in the distillery founded by the legendary Masataka Taketsuru in 1934 in Yoichi, Hokkaido; subsequently expands production in a second plant that will be built in 1969 in the city of Sendai, the Miyagikyo distillery. 

In 2021 Nikka released the range of whisky "Discovery", the series of bottlings that anticipates the company's 90th anniversary celebration in 2024. The aim of the range is to showcase some of the experiments of the Miyagikyo and Yoichi distilleries. Nikka Yoichi is a whisky usually peated, released for the occasion in its non-peated version. The whisky it is characterized by an excellent balance between fruity richness, malty character and spicier notes.

TASTE: Rich and lively, followed by citrus and lightly toasted vanilla notes. In the broad finish there are malty notes, then anise and vegetal hints. 

AGING: Oak barrels.
