ADDITIONAL DETAILS ABOUT WHISKY NIKKA YOICHI SINGLE MALT
The greatness of whisky of Yoichi also lies in the historicity with which the distillery approaches its role: Yoichi was the first so-called modern distillery, in pure Scottish style, with Scottish-style stills and above all entirely dedicated to whisky, while most of the other distilleries in Japan have always dealt with something else too, especially brandy, shochu and sake.
The vision of a single man - Masataka Taketsuru - gave life to a unique project which, despite several initial difficulties due to the lack of interest of the Japanese people for a whisky as incisive and peaty as that of Yoichi, today it is the symbol of how enterprise and intellectual honesty have made Japan great in the global ecosystem of whisky, making this country one of the main productive nations, especially in terms of quality. THE whisky Japanese are increasingly in demand and rack up awards every year, garnering praise from critics, journalists, enthusiasts and casual drinkers.
