Whisky Provenance Ardmore 6 Year Old
700ml BOTTLE
Provenance Ardmore 6 Year Old is not a simple one whisky but it is one of the few opportunities to taste the distillate of a small distillery in the Scottish Highlands area, namely Ardmore. The Ardmore distillery was founded in 1898 by Adam Teacher, one of the sons of William Teacher, owner of an important chain of whisky and alcohol, in need of supplies for its customers. As has happened with many other distilleries, most of the production is linked to blended, leaving little opportunity to taste the malt of this company in purity. In this case all this is possible thanks to the selection of Douglas Laing who, with the Provenance series, selects and bottles single casks from various Scottish distilleries, thus limiting the number of bottles available for each bottling and maintaining a gradation of 46%, alcohol content higher than the medium but able to be appreciated by every category of fans of the Scottish distillate.
This Ardmore was distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2020: limited edition of just 367 bottles.
TASTE: rightly peaty, with spicy and bacon notes, then honey and dried fruit
AGING: in single oak barrels
