Rest & Be Thankful is an independent bottler. Its first sale dates back to 2012, with selections of  Scotch Whisky really special. Their philosophy is to bottle only the best barrels, looking for rare and limited production products. After an initial period dedicated exclusively to the best whisky they became interested in finding equally rare rums. This interest in rums has become a core part of their business.

Particular attention was given to the Monymusk distillery built in the postwar period in southern Jamaica. Monymusk offers only two styles of pot still rum and both are made with molasses but the end result creates exceptional products. As for Rest & Be Thankful - Monymusk 2012 Small Batch Rum is the first Jamaican Small Batch produced from 24 barrels of Monymusk. The rums ferment in a short time ranging from 2 to 3 days to guarantee a light and pleasant style. Of these 24 barii, one part is left to mature in the tropical climate of Jamaica and another part is brought to mature in Europe in the continental climate. A very special feature which has contributed to making this product valuable. The unique barrels were filled in 2012 and 2022 examples were bottled in 6.076 alone. So a rum that belongs to the category of rare rums, a pure single Jamaican rum not to be missed.

TASTE: Definitely soft with clear notes of vanilla, banana and tropical fruit with a long and enveloping finish
