This Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled on the Isle of Skye, by Talisker, is part of the Diageo Special Release 2020 collection. Bottled at the natural alcohol content of 57.9% vol, this whisky 8 years old has the particularity of having been aged in barrels that have contained Caribbean Rum.
TASTE: Initially sweetness and maritime notes, with hints of molasses and raw sugar, in opposition to dry seaweed, salt and iodine. Astringent, it requires water that makes it enveloping and fruity. Long sweet, smoky and spicy finish. By adding water, the notes of fruit and smoke are accentuated with a vanilla finish.
AGING: American refill oak barrels and barrels that contained Caribbean Rum.
