The GlenAllachie 15 Year Old Release 2024 is an interesting one scotch whisky proposed by The Glenallachie distillery, a distillery which today is building a solid reputation around the world despite a rich and prosperous history of events. Although The Glenallachie was founded in 1967, it is only in recent years that its malts are making their way onto the palates of enthusiasts: like many other Speyside distilleries, the bulk of production has always been dedicated to giving volume and intensity to various blended whisky, leaving very little space for the part relating to single malt, i.e. the production of solo malt whisky distilled and aged in The Glenallachie warehouses. For some years however, thanks to the new independent ownership and the precious contribution of Billy Walker as selector and master blender, The Glenallachie has been finding a new dimension, giving moments of pure pleasure to those lucky enough to encounter one of these bottles. In this case, The GlenAllachie 15 Year Old Release 2024 is a whisky which ages for over 15 years in a mix of American oak barrels and European oak ex Pedro Ximenez and ex Oloroso, unfiltered and uncoloured.
