This decision was made by Walsh Whiskey, or the company that owns the brand The Irishman, a line of whiskey pretty classic Irish, trying to maintain a high standard in each release. The line was enriched with this product in 2008 and at the time the word Rare was used on the label to also indicate the limited number of bottles available.
