The Whistler 5 Year Old Bodega Cask is a very special label because it belongs to The Whistler series, or the brand owned by the Boann distillery. The scene of whiskey Ireland is embellishing itself with several distilleries that have opened their doors in recent years to meet the constantly growing demand for whiskey Irish, thanks to the consolidated history and the change in world consumption. In this sense Boann is a new distillery and, not being able to offer yet whiskey with his own name on the label, he decided to create a brand with which to select and market whiskey from other distilleries.

In this case The Whistler 5 Year Old Bodega Cask is a whiskey five years of aging exclusively in barrels that previously contained Oloroso Sherry, as was done in the first half of the twentieth century. The ex Sherry casks are more expensive than the ex Bourbon casks, which are much more used today due to their lower capacity and lower cost.
