Tomintoul is a little-known distillery in Italy, but which represents a method of production of whisky unique, due to particular attention to the distillation phase.
Tomintoul was founded in 1964 and since then has never stopped using its high and narrow neck stills, a feature that goes into producing a whisky elegant with minimal bumps. The tall neck in fact provides that the heaviest parts of the distillation are unable to complete the cycle, remaining inside the alembic and remaining excluded from the resulting white spirit. After this process, i whisky of Tomintoul take different paths: in this case we have the 10-year-old version in the glass, the entry bottle among those with an age declaration. The refinement takes place in the best ex Bourbon American oak barrels, for a Single Malt Scotch Whisky unique, of great elegance and refinement, as is due to Speyside, the production area.
TASTE: Elegant and delicate, the fruity part is important and is colored with cereals, biscuits and dry pastries, with spices and notes of candied fruit, bitter orange peel. Good persistence and contentment.
