Whisky Tormore 1990 Duncan Taylor The Octave
700ml BOTTLE
Il whisky contained in this bottle is one of a kind: Tormore is a Scottish distillery in the Speyside area that supplies its malt for blended, greatly reducing the percentage of whisky sold under the distillery name. The production capacity is over 4 million liters per year, it was founded in 1958, but this particular bottle comes from an independent bottler, Duncan Taylor, known for the quality and particularity of his products.
In fact, this Tormore passes a final period, the so-called finish, in small capacity casks, around 50 liters which correspond to an eighth (Octave Cask) of a traditional cask. Less than one hundred bottles were produced from this barrel which are sold at full capacity, i.e. without the addition of water which is normally used for standard products. If all that wasn't enough, this whisky it was distilled in 1990 and spent 27 years in casks, becoming a very refined product that is not often found on the market. The request for whisky rare and refined is high: a small piece of distillation history.
TASTE: Full, elegant and intense, with many fruity nuances, noble spices and dried fruit. Red fruits and milk chocolate.
AGING: American oak barrels.
