Ardnamurchan AD/01.21:01 is the first bottle released by the Ardnamurchan distillery for 2021: a unique union of whisky peated and unpeated from the new Highlands distillery. Ardnamurchan is a distillery recently created by Adelphi, a historic English company engaged in the selection and marketing of whisky of other distilleries, until the ownership decided to get involved in the first person and start thinking about a proprietary distillery.
Said and done: Ardnamurchan has been operational for a few years but has already made fans from all over the world understand that the project is extremely serious. As if that weren't enough, the circulation of this and the other bottles of Ardnamurchan is very low, so much so that the collectible value is important: one more reason to take one of these bottles home with you. The refinement of this whisky 65% took place in ex Bourbon barrels and the remaining 35% in barrels that previously contained Sherry.
TASTE: Intense and smoky, well-structured spices, then ripe fruit, citrus fruits for a persistent smoky aftermath.
AGING: American oak ex Bourbon barrels and European oak ex Sherry barrels.
