Whisky Auchroisk 25 Year Old Special Release 2016
700ml BOTTLE
Auchroisk 25 Year Old Special Release 2016 is one of the rare occasions to be able to savor the pure whisky of this Speyside distillery. The Auchroisk distillery was founded in 1972 and became operational a couple of years later to support the production of blended whisky, by far the most consumed type at the time and partly still today. In 1978 a first was bottled whisky only for the Japanese market and over the decades there have been a few hundred official and independent bottlers, precisely because the property has always preferred to sell or use the barrels for other purposes.
The name Auchroisk, meaning red water in Gaelic, has been a distillery owned by the Diageo group for some years, since 1997 to be precise: this bottle in fact belongs to the 2016 edition of the Special Releases, i.e. a small group of annual that Diageo offers to offer a particular overview of its distilleries, especially the lesser known and rarer ones to find around. In addition to the refinement of 25 years, this whisky it has a higher alcohol content than usual and a circulation of less than 4000 bottles. Each bottle is numbered and the number you see in the photo on our website needs to be verified, it could be different. If you want to know the exact numbering of the bottle available at the time of purchase, ask via email or whatsapp.
