Beathan is not a real distillery but a fictional name behind which lies one of the oldest distilleries in the Speyside area, a mystery that perhaps only tasting can reveal. Furthermore, the Speyside distillery responsible for this whisky rarely works with peated malt, making the result of this selection even more peculiar: Wilson & Morgan is in fact famous for sometimes risky experiments but which usually bring both the public and critics into agreement, thus being able to manage the elements of their work calmly and safety. Beathan 2013 Sherry Oloroso Finish Wilson & Morgan undergoes a long refinement in second-fill Puncheon oak barrels before a final passage in barrels that have contained Oloroso sherry, this time first-fill to give volume and three-dimensionality to the sip.
