Elements of Islay is a brand launched by independent bottler Elixir Distillers in 2006. Elements of Islay selects the best single malts from Islay distilleries to create unique blended and single malts.

This single malt was distilled in 2014 by Laphroaig and selected by Elixir Distillers for the Elements of Islay brand, which bottles it after just over 6 years of aging at an alcoholic strength of 54.7% vol. Only 1.672 bottles were made from the four barrels chosen for this expression, which bear the signature of Oliver Chilton responsible for managing the barrel inventory for Elixir Distillers and for the selection and release of Elements of Islay.

TASTE: Smoky hints and medicinal notes, the iodized character combines with dried figs. The finish has notes of chocolate and spices, with persistent smoke.

AGING: Hogsheads barrels of ex Sherry European oak and refill barrels.
