The GlenAllachie 12 Year Old Spanish Virgin Oak is a whisky aged for over 12 years in oak barrels, the final part of the refinement takes place in special barrels, i.e. built with staves from oak of Spanish origin, from Galicia and Asturias. The Glenallachie distillery is making a comeback with a renewed structure, thanks to the new ownership which since 2017 has been perfecting both the technical part in the distillery and the structure of the available products, including this Virgin Oak Series which experiments with refinements in peculiar woods. The choice of using wood from virgin barrels is peculiar and for this reason it must be managed with great experience and parsimony, two terms that can fully follow the philosophy of the Glenallachie distillery.
