Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch No.5 is the fifth edition for this rare whisky distilled on the Campbeltown peninsula in Scotland at the Glengyle distillery. Closed in 1925, Glengyle was purchased by the nearby Springbank distillery and completely renovated in 2000, before a long period of experimentation to arrive at its present shape, with a small range of whisky products but with excellent quality content. In this case the distillery has decided to combine some barrels from rather peated malt and an aging divided into 85% ex bourbon barrels and the remaining 15% in barrels that previously contained sherry. The alcohol content is high to allow you to tackle every nuance of this great whisky. Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch No.5 was released in November 2021 in a limited number of bottles.

TASTE: intense, peaty and smoky, with iodine, salt and citrus fruits
